Save as a bookmark
A bookmark is a saved shortcut to a website. You no longer need to type or search for the address – one click is enough.
In Microsoft Edge, the same thing is called a favorite. It still means a saved link that you can open at any time.
This guide is for the computer. Choose the browser you use on your work computer below.
First: Open Ayunis Core
Section titled “First: Open Ayunis Core”- Open your browser
- Open Ayunis Core – using the address you received from your organization
- Sign in if you are not already signed in
At the top of the browser window you will see a long field with the website address. This is the address bar.
Save the home page of Ayunis Core – the page that appears first after you sign in. Do not save an individual chat. Individual chats can later be deleted or renamed.
Microsoft Edge
Section titled “Microsoft Edge”Microsoft Edge calls bookmarks favorites.
Add a favorite
Section titled “Add a favorite”- Open Ayunis Core in Microsoft Edge
- Click the star on the right side of the address bar. The button is called Add this page to favorites
- A small window opens
- Under Name, enter Ayunis Core, for example
- Under Folder, choose Favorites bar
- Click Done
The star is then filled in. Ayunis Core is saved.
Show the favorites bar
Section titled “Show the favorites bar”The favorites bar is the row directly below the address bar. If it is missing:
- Click inside the browser window so that Edge is active
- Press Ctrl + Shift + B
The bar appears. It contains the Ayunis Core entry.
Open Ayunis Core
Section titled “Open Ayunis Core”Click Ayunis Core on the favorites bar. The platform opens.
Google Chrome
Section titled “Google Chrome”Add a bookmark
Section titled “Add a bookmark”- Open Ayunis Core in Google Chrome
- Click the star on the right side of the address bar. The button is called Bookmark
- A small window opens
- Under Name, enter Ayunis Core, for example
- Under Folder, choose Bookmarks bar
- Click Done
The star is then filled in. Ayunis Core is saved.
Show the bookmarks bar
Section titled “Show the bookmarks bar”The bookmarks bar is the row directly below the address bar. If it is missing:
- Click the three dots at the top right
- Point to Bookmarks and lists
- Click Show bookmarks bar
Alternatively: Press Ctrl + Shift + B (Windows) or Cmd + Shift + B (Mac).
Open Ayunis Core
Section titled “Open Ayunis Core”Click Ayunis Core on the bookmarks bar. The platform opens.
Mozilla Firefox
Section titled “Mozilla Firefox”Add a bookmark

- Click the star on the right side of the address bar
- A small window opens
- Under Name, enter Ayunis Core, for example
- Under Folder or Location, choose Bookmarks Toolbar
- Click Save
The star turns blue. Ayunis Core is saved.
Show the bookmarks toolbar
Section titled “Show the bookmarks toolbar”The bookmarks toolbar is the row directly below the address bar. If it is missing:
- Right-click an empty area next to the tabs or below the address bar
- Point to Bookmarks Toolbar
- Choose Always Show
Alternatively: Press Ctrl + Shift + B (Windows) or Cmd + Shift + B (Mac).
Open Ayunis Core
Section titled “Open Ayunis Core”Click Ayunis Core on the bookmarks toolbar. The platform opens.
Safari (Mac)
Section titled “Safari (Mac)”Safari distinguishes between bookmarks (all saved pages) and favorites (the entries in the visible bar at the top). Save Ayunis Core as a favorite.
Add a bookmark
Section titled “Add a bookmark”- Open Ayunis Core in Safari
- In the menu bar at the top, click Bookmarks
- Click Add Bookmark
- Choose Favorites
- Under Name, enter Ayunis Core, for example
- Click Add
Show the favorites bar
Section titled “Show the favorites bar”The favorites bar is the row directly below the address bar. If it is missing:
- In the menu bar, click View
- Click Show Favorites Bar
Open Ayunis Core
Section titled “Open Ayunis Core”Click Ayunis Core on the favorites bar. The platform opens.
The bookmark is not visible
Section titled “The bookmark is not visible”- Bar hidden? Show the bookmarks or favorites bar as described above for your browser
- Wrong folder? The bookmark was saved, but not to the bar. Open your browser’s bookmarks or favorites overview from the menu, then drag Ayunis Core onto the bar
- Different browser? A bookmark only exists in the browser where you saved it. If you use Chrome and Edge side by side, save Core in the browser you use every day
Ayunis Core on the desktop (Windows)
Section titled “Ayunis Core on the desktop (Windows)”If you want to start Ayunis Core like a program, add an icon to the desktop. A double-click then opens Core in the browser.
These steps are for Windows. On a Mac, a bookmark remains the simplest option.
Create a shortcut
Section titled “Create a shortcut”- Open Ayunis Core in the browser and sign in
- Click once in the address bar at the top. The address should be selected. If it is not, press Ctrl + A
- Press Ctrl + C to copy the address
- Right-click an empty area on the desktop
- Point to New and click Shortcut. If you do not see New, first click Show more options
- Click in the field and press Ctrl + V to paste the address
- Click Next
- Enter Ayunis Core as the name
- Click Finish
The Ayunis Core icon appears on the desktop. A double-click opens the platform.
Optional: Pin to the taskbar
Section titled “Optional: Pin to the taskbar”In Microsoft Edge, you can also pin Ayunis Core to the taskbar at the bottom of the screen – next to programs such as Word or Outlook:
- Open Ayunis Core in Microsoft Edge
- Click the three dots at the top right
- Point to More tools
- Click Pin to taskbar
